My wife and I trying to figure out where to eat.

“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God! They are innumerable! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!”  Psalm 139:17-18 (NLT)

How many grains of sand are there on earth?

Mathematicians at the University of Hawaii estimate that there are seven quintillion five quadrillion (7,500,000,000,000,000,000) grains of sand on the world’s beaches. If God’s thoughts for you were equal to the aforementioned number, it would mean that God would think about you 2,970,756,233 times every second of your life (if you lived to be 80). 

That almost 3 billion precious thoughts about you every single second of your life! And what’s really mind blowing is that Psalm 139:17-18 says His thoughts for you actually “outnumber the [7,500,000,000,000,000,000] grains of sand!” His thoughts for you are “innumerable” (Psalm 139:17). God can’t stop thinking about you! He loves you and is actively helping to heal, restore and give you “real and eternal life,” here on this earth and in the life to come (John 10:10 The Message).

You are God’s child and he can’t get you off his mind! Meditate on this as you enter your weekend. You are not forgotten. You are not alone. No, you are the much loved child of a loving Heavenly Father. If you’re like me, this may just be the most joyous news you’ve heard in a while!
